Regina Werum has co-directed the Mellon program since its inception in 2004. She is Associate Professor in the Department of Sociology, and her research concerns race and gender stratification in education, comparative international educational inequality, social movements.
Michael Elliott joined the Mellon program in the summer of 2008. He is Associate Professor in the Department of English, and specializes in the literature and culture of the United States from the mid-nineteenth to early twentieth century, with particular emphasis on interdisciplinary approaches to American cultures and the place of Native Americans in the United States.
