Fulbright Program for U.S. Students

The Fulbright Program is the largest U.S. international exchange program offering opportunities for students, scholars and professionals to undertake international graduate study, advanced research, and teaching worldwide. 

  • The online application will become available in May 2015.
  • On August 24, 2015 by 8:30am, a completed application should be submitted electronically. This deadline is firm. 
  • September 8-11, Interview Week: After the interviews, Dr. Jay Hughes will release the application back to the students for revisions.  
  • On October 1, 2015 by 8:30am, applicants should submit their revised application electronically.
  • IIE expects to inform applicants of first round results in January 2016.

The application process is complicated. Follow the guidelines and instructions included in the Fulbright Informational Memo, 2015 (at right).

Fulbright Workshop

  • July 31: Email Jay Hughes if you plan to attend the workshop.
  • August 3: Materials due to Jay by 9am - email a copy of your proposal (grant narrative) and personal statement.
  • August 14: Workshop will take place from 9-5:00pm, location TBD. Lunch provided.
